This is a recipe from a cook book compiled by Women’s Club Harris, Minnesota 1950

It was my Grandma Hilma’s book and her bread recipe is in there too. Just thought I would share with you what the women of Harris were cooking up over 50 years ago! I would not suggest that you try this one at home. Unless you have a great partnership with your cardiovascular surgeon.

HOT DISH

1 pound pork steak, cubed brown in frying pan and add:

1 can chicken noodle soup

1 can water

simmer this for 1/2 hour. Cook 1 package noodles. Add this and the following to first mixure:

1/2 pound Velveeta Cheese

Small jar pimiento

1 can cream style corn

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 can of milk

Put in baking dish and bake 1 hour.

Wow—this was a featured recipe and I can only imagine how much the family enjoyed this delight!
